Lego Land

Ok not lego land.  We took the bus one day just to have an outing and ended up at this really cool outdoor style mall.  There was a free kids lego play area so we hung out for a bit.

The Beach

Brett and Ollie played together every morning while I went to the gym.  Oliver's parents didn't bring him any beach toys so he had to make friends.

Water Slide

Oh ya we did.  Down the water slide.  You are not allowed to go in pairs so rather than send Ollie by himself we went back to a different pool!!

The French Restaurant

There were 5 different a la carte restaurants at our resort.  "The French" was an adults only.  We left Ollie in the baby club for a few adult only meals.  It allowed us to eat at a relaxing pace as opposed to a 15 mins meal.

Ocean attempt Jan 2012

One of the many attempts to get Ollie to swim in the ocean.  As you can see he has climbed me like a tree and it is a no go.

Mexico Jan 2012 Heated pool

There was one heated pool at our resort that was covered and totally in shade.  Ollie loved it because he could take his hat off and there was an edge all the way around that he could touch.  He spent lots of time mainly with his Dad jumping in to the pool and running around chect deep.  He also made use of Zoe's life jacket and surprized him self a few time when he jumped and started to float.

Day 10 Mexico Jan 2012

Well it took 10 days for Oliver to like the beach.  In his defence most days were red flag days and the waves were pretty crazy.  I went in only once and the current was very strong.  The sand is also very rough.  It means that you can always find lots of shells but isn't very smooth.  We spent the last few days all covered in sand.  In fact the last night our bed was so filled it was hard to get comfortable.  He now really likes to eat sand, through sand, dig in sand, and cover your toes in sand.
